Revised Healthcare & Social Services Occupations

Category-based rounds of invitations were introduced by IRCC in 2023 to supplement other round types (i.e. general, program-specific OR PNP rounds) to meet the identified economic goal.

In February, IRCC revised the Occupation categories and made significant changes

  • to the list of Occupations in different categories
  • introduced new Occupation category (Education occupations)

The erstwhile Healthcare Occupations category is now Healthcare & Social Services Occupations, and includes a few occupations classified within the Social Services sector. The number of occupations in the category increased from 35 to 37, after removing 6 and adding 8 occupations.
